Pakistan has made a positive final determination on the anti-dumping investigation of polyester filament yarns from China
On June 17, 2025, the National Tariff Commission of Pakistan issued the latest announcement of case No. ADC65/2024, making a positive final determination on the anti-dumping of Polyester Filament Yarn originating from or imported from China, ruling that the involved products were dumped. Moreover, this dumping has caused damage to the domestic industry in Pakistan. It has been decided to impose anti-dumping duties on the involved products for a period of five years starting from November 15, 2024, with the duty rate ranging from 5.35% to 20.78%. The measures do not include polyester filament yarns that are only used as raw materials for Pakistani export products and polyester filament yarns required for foreign donation assistance projects and other tariff exemption projects. The tariff codes of the involved products in Pakistan are 5402.3300 and 5402.6200.
On May 24, 2024, Pakistan initiated an anti-dumping investigation into polyester filament yarns originating from or imported from China. On November 14, 2024, Pakistan made a positive preliminary ruling on the case, initially determining to impose provisional anti-dumping duties ranging from 2.13% to 20.78% on the involved products, with an effective period of four months.
Indonesia has terminated the anti-dumping investigation on Huahe Fiber filament yarn and will not impose anti-dumping measures
On June 16, 2025, the anti-Dumping Commission of Indonesia (KADI) issued Announcement No. AD.02/253/KADI/06/2025, stating that due to the insufficient supply of related industries in Indonesia, imposing anti-dumping duties is not in the national interest. Therefore, it has decided to terminate the anti-dumping investigation on synthetic fiber filament yarns originating from China. No anti-dumping measures will be implemented.
On September 12, 2023, Indonesia initiated an anti-dumping investigation into synthetic fiber filament yarns originating from China. On March 11, 2025, the Indonesian anti-Dumping Commission made a positive final ruling on the case, recommending the imposition of anti-dumping duties on the involved products for a period of five years. The Indonesian tax numbers of the involved products are 5402.33.10, 5402.33.90, 5402.46.10 and 5402.46.90.
