At the 2025 China Langfang International Economic and Trade Fair, which opened on June 16th, the Statistics and Analysis Department of the General Administration of Customs introduced the situation of China's cross-border e-commerce imports and exports in 2024, saying that the scale of China's cross-border e-commerce exports exceeded 2 trillion yuan in 2024, reaching 2.15 trillion yuan, an increase of 16.9% compared with 2023. The scale of cross-border e-commerce has reached a new historical high.
It is reported that the main export destinations for cross-border e-commerce are the United States (36.2%), the United Kingdom (11.7%), and Germany (5.7%). Cross-border e-commerce exports of consumer goods accounted for 97.5%, mainly including clothing, shoes, bags and jewelry accessories, various digital products and accessories such as mobile phones and computers, home textiles and kitchen and bathroom utensils, household and office appliances and accessories, etc. The main sources of cross-border e-commerce export goods are Guangdong, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangsu, Shandong, etc.
Since the beginning of this year, China's economy has continued to recover and improve. Despite external pressure, the trade in goods has maintained strong resilience, and cross-border e-commerce imports and exports have continued to grow. A customs survey of enterprises shows that over 70% of them expect cross-border e-commerce imports and exports to remain stable or grow in 2025.
