5 Ways to Celebrate International Cat Day

August 8 is International Cat Friendship Day in several countries and a holiday for our feline friends. There are some special things we can do to spend time with our cats.

1. Adopt a feline friend

Conditions permitting, welcome a cat into your home by adopting one from your local animal shelter or rescue organization. There is no better way to celebrate this day. Adoption can provide a lifetime of love, care and security for a cat.

2. Volunteer at an Animal Shelter

Cat lovers can also participate in volunteering at local animal shelters on Cat Day. As a volunteer, you will socialize with cats, feed them, clean them, groom them, assist with adoptions, and more. Volunteering on this day will benefit the cats and bring joy to your life.

3. Organizing a cat party

You can invite your friends who have cats to host a cat-themed party. Let the cats play together and enjoy their special day. Remember to bring along cat day gifts so that the cat owner gets the full experience. To make the party even more special, you can give cat-specific grooming products, toys or other accessories.

4. Buying new cat accessories

Cats are simple and don't ask for much. Even a small toy or accessory can make them happy. You can show your love by buying your cat a cat bed to help it sleep peacefully.

5. Grooming your cat

Grooming your cat on International Cat Friendly Day is one of the best things you can do. Help your furry friend get rid of unwanted hair. Grooming and cleaning is a great way to bond with them and pamper them. In addition, it makes your cat look healthy, shiny and beautiful.
