The nonwoven wiping industry ushered in new opportunities

In recent years, the non-woven wiping industry such as wipes and soft wipes has developed rapidly, and new technologies and new products continue to emerge. The biodegradation of nonwoven wiping materials and the low-carbon environmental protection of the production process have become an important trend, and are also an important direction of technological innovation and market competition in the industry. TendisTM is made from wood pulp and Lyocell fiber through a spool reinforcement process that requires no adhesives, making it soft, comfortable and biodegradable. More than 98% of the water in its production process can be recycled, and it is suitable for wet wipes and disposable sanitary products. Miaosan ® uses wood pulp imported from North America and recycled cellulose fiber from Europe to disperse in 5 minutes and is suitable for products such as flushable toilet wipes. In addition, the speed of manual detection is relatively slow, and the average detection speed is only 5 to 10 meters/minute, which has obvious shortcomings in accuracy and efficiency. In view of the above challenges, more and more textile and garment factories have begun to seek automated solutions to improve the accuracy and timeliness of testing.

At this exhibition, the Artificial Intelligence Design Institute (AiDLab) highlighted its artificial intelligence detection technology (WiseEye) for flaw detection of nonwovens, woven fabrics and knitted fabrics. Huang Weiqiang, CEO and director of Artificial Intelligence Design Institute (AiDLab) and Zheng Yixiong Professor of Fashion at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, said that in recent years, artificial intelligence technology has developed rapidly, and the quality of industrial cameras has also been greatly improved, and AiDLab has organically combined the two to realize the automatic upgrade of textile testing process. This innovation replaces the traditional artificial visual inspection with AI technology, which greatly improves the intelligent level of fabric defect detection. At present, the technology has been successfully applied in some textile and garment factories in Guangdong Province, and is suitable for the detection of grey cloth and finished cloth.
