International Functional Midlayer Fabric Trends

Midlayer presents its versatility in a highly functional form. Particularly striking are wools with plain knit backings, cotton plain knits, waffle constructions, wool uppers, knitted wools, high-stretch softshell fabrics and waterproof Sherpa fabrics. Spacers alternate with reversible fabrics, ultra-lightweight technical wools with woven fabrics, and jacquards with classic wool qualities.

1. LMA's new GreenFlex Ease is made from 88% recycled GRS recycled polyester and 12% Creora elastane, which provides an unparalleled soft feel and fit, giving the wearer a natural and comfortable experience, ideal for yoga, Pilates or leotard workout wear. The fabric's innovation is Creora® Easyflex technology, which simplifies sizing for a universal fit.

2. The new French Terry fleece from Unitex is made from 75% recycled nylon (made from 100% discarded fishing nets) and 25% low-temperature dyeable spandex, combined with a brushed fleece process. This eco-friendly fabric has a comfortable stretch and good warmth. In addition, jacquard technology is used to create a denim-like texture on the surface of the fabric, which greatly enhances its visual appeal.

3. OceanSafe's new French terry is composed of 40% cotton and 60% naNea, a breakthrough innovative synthetic material. It neither emits persistent microplastics nor contains harmful substances such as toxins or heavy metals. Its proprietary polymer design is over 93% biodegradable in seawater in 99 days. This terry cloth combines the benefits of synthetic and natural yarns to meet the needs of a wide range of applications in sports and outdoor apparel.

4. Polartec's new Alpha, made from 4% nylon, 63% polyester, and 33% natural wool, is a groundbreaking and innovative insulating material designed for outdoor sports scenarios and designed to provide long-lasting comfort for the wearer. The fabric cleverly combines natural wool to bring out the best of wool's natural benefits: providing unparalleled warmth, high breathability to ensure the body is comfortable and not stuffy, and natural odor control to keep the wearer comfortable in a variety of environments.

5. Hemetex's new hbd345 is composed of 56% recycled polyester, 37% modal Tencel and 7% spandex, a fabric with a stylish vintage design, a unique look and a soft, smooth feel, like caressing delicate silk. It is suitable for everyday coats, light jackets, shirts and uniforms for outdoor activities. In addition, the fabric is treated with a fluorine-free waterproofing technology, which ensures functionality and is sustainable and environmentally friendly.
