During the 2024 intertextile Greater Bay Area International Textile Fabrics & Accessories Expo, the Sustainable Innovation Zone brings together advanced concepts and practical cases in the industry, providing a platform for visitors to gain an in-depth understanding of and discuss a sustainable future.
1. "30.60 Program" Examples of good practices from member companies
In June 2021, the Social Responsibility Office of China Textile Federation launched the “30.60 Program”, and as of September 2023, 21 brand enterprises and 42 manufacturing enterprises have joined the program. This year, the Sustainable Innovation Zone at the Greater Bay Area Fabrics & Accessories Fair will showcase excellent practice cases from 27 member companies of the 30.60 Initiative, covering product carbon footprint measurement, zero-carbon and low-carbon product pilots, energy clean-up, green manufacturing and corporate carbon management. These cases will provide practical transformation paths for the industry and help more enterprises embark on the path of low-carbon development.
2. Full Life Cycle Assessment Cases
Product carbon labeling, as an important tool to promote green and low-carbon consumption, is redefining the price and value of products. Since its establishment, the China Textile and Apparel Industry Full Life Cycle Assessment Working Group (CNTAC-LCA Working Group) has completed the carbon footprint measurement of 108 individual products. At the show, in the Sustainable Innovation Zone, visitors will also see 23 individual products from 15 brands, all of which have completed full life cycle assessment and have their own “carbon labels”.
3. Directory of “Sustainable Fashion Practitioners”
This exhibition area will also display the results of the 2023 “Pursuer of Excellence in Sustainability” award. The “Pursuer of Excellence in Sustainability” Judging Committee, based on the materials actively declared by each organization, has selected 16 outstanding enterprises aiming at accelerating the construction of a low-carbon green recycling system throughout the whole industrial chain, including green materials, green technologies, green products, green manufacturing and green consumption.
