China's imports and exports of goods in 2024 totaled 43.85 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5%, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs on January 13. Of which, exports reached 25.45 trillion yuan, up by 7.1% year-on-year; Imports reached 18.39 trillion yuan, up 2.3 percent year-on-year. Foreign trade for the year ended successfully.

In terms of increment, China's foreign trade increased by 2.1 trillion yuan, equivalent to the annual total foreign trade of a medium-sized country. In terms of quality, the mix of import and export products has been continuously optimized and upgraded, high-tech products are growing well, the export of self-owned brands has reached a record high, and new types of trade such as cross-border e-commerce are booming.
