On January 20, BOSIDENGBiosilk and BOSIDENG® BioLite, two innovative fabrics based on RilsanPA11 developed in collaboration with Aroma, both won the ISPO TEXTRENDS Spring/Summer 2026 Global Selection Award in the Film and Coating category.
The woven fabric and membrane of the two fabrics are made of 100% bio-based RilsanPA11 and 50% bio-based Pebax nylon elastomers, respectively. Compared to ordinary nylon and polyester fabrics, woven fabrics made from Rilsan® PA11 are not only lighter, softer and smoother to the touch, but also show advantages in tear resistance and sun protection.
The fabric made of Rilsan® PA11 woven fabric and Pebax nylon elastomeptic waterproof film composite not only gives the fabric excellent wear resistance, but also can quickly transfer sweat to the outer layer of clothing, while effectively blocking the penetration of rain and snow water droplets, always bring the wearer a dry and comfortable experience.
It is worth noting that Arkema's bio-Kirrilsanpa11, which is 100% derived from renewable castor seeds, does not compete with food and does not contribute to deforestation. Rilsan® PA11 gives both fabrics superior performance with a lower product carbon footprint, helping to build stylish, functional and environmentally friendly textile fabrics.
In terms of product application, Biosilk and BioLite can be applied to functional clothing including outdoor jackets, down jackets and skin clothing, designers can flexibly choose according to the different needs of the stiffness of clothing styles, inject more possibilities for product design.
The joint cooperation between Bosideng and Arkema demonstrates the common pursuit of technological innovation and sustainable development of both sides, and also brings new vitality to the sustainable development of the textile industry.
