INTERZOO 2024 pet show opens in Nuremberg, Germany

Germany local time on May 7, 2024 Germany Nuremberg pet exhibition INTERZOO in Nuremberg International Exhibition Center officially opened.

Nuremberg Pet Show was founded in 1973, organized by the German Pet Association and undertaken by Messe Nuremberg. As a leading professional trade fair for pet supplies, Nuremberg Pet Show focuses on new developments in the global pet supplies industry and is the largest international professional trade fair for pet and aquarium supplies, which is held every two years.

The exhibition involves pet aquarium supplies with complete, in-depth and professional exhibits. There are 2,169 exhibitors from 68 countries and regions at this year's Nuremberg Pet Show, with non-German exhibitors accounting for 85% of the total. It is expected that 40,000 professional visitors from more than 120 countries will visit the exhibition.

Gordon Bonnet, German Association for Pet Economics and organizer of Pet Expo Nuremberg, details the industry's expectations of Pet Expo Nuremberg. “On the one hand, there are the exhibitors, who of course want a lot of visitors to come and be interested in their products, but at the same time they also want new sales channels to emerge. Many exhibitors are not only selling their products to their home countries but are also looking for new sales channels. On the other hand, visitors may be looking for new products. The market is determined by buyers. Nowhere else can they explore the market in such depth and learn about the latest global developments. This is why the international character of the trade fair is so important. For example, there are trends that are still far away in the German market, but will be mainstream in five years' time.”
