Techtextil innovative technology inventory

As one of the largest one-stop comprehensive exhibition platforms in the global industrial textiles industry, Techtextil comprehensively presents textile products across 12 major high-tech application fields. This exhibition coincides with the 20th anniversary of Techtextil. The scale of the exhibition has reached a new high, fully demonstrating the vigorous vitality and continuous innovation of the textile industry.

Thermoplastic textile reinforced composite material recycling technology

The aerospace fiber matrix composite recycling process (Improving aircraft recycling) developed by the Belgian Textile Research Center (Centexbel) is designed to recycle aircraft parts made of welded thermoplastic fiber composite materials. It uses induction heating technology to send eddy currents into the For welded composite material structures, the applied electromagnetic energy is concentrated on the welded section. When the temperature is higher than the melting point of the polymer matrix, the welded composite material structure can be quickly removed. This technology has fast disassembly speed, high energy efficiency, no need for sawing, no harmful dust is released during the disassembly process, and the dismantled composite materials can be easily reused.

Smart roofs system

With its Smart Roof System (SRS) consisting of a water-based liquid waterproofing membrane capable of reflecting infrared radiation and a smart textile reinforced structure made of recycled polyester jacquard fabric, which integrates temperature and humidity sensors, the Portuguese Textile and Apparel Industry Technology Center (CITEVE) and an active heating system for drying/curing the film. SRS can predict cracks in waterproofing membranes and monitor system humidity and temperature.

Self-cooling textiles

The new self-cooling textile coating developed by DITF is a new coating based on thermo-optically active particles with spectrally selective radiation properties that can achieve energy-free cooling below ambient temperatures. The coating reflects sunlight efficiently, preventing the textile from absorbing energy and heating up in the process. Even in full sunlight during the day, the coated textiles were able to cool to 2°C below ambient temperature, achieving a temperature gradient of up to 20°C compared to uncoated reference textiles.

AGXX antibacterial technology

Statistics show that 1 in 5 deaths worldwide is due to sepsis. The cause of infection is usually that microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi or viruses present in hospital bed sheets enter the body through wounds and cause infection. Germany's Heraeus (Heraeus Precious Metals Company) relies on new antibacterial technology by adding AGXX precious metal additives to textiles. The two precious metals silver and ruthenium in the additive interact to trigger a catalytic reaction and generate active oxygen, thereby effectively killing 130 types of microorganisms. And it can still maintain good antibacterial properties after being washed 100 times.

Smart moisture management textiles

Smart moisture management technology developed by Swedish company LunaMicro improves the moisture wicking performance of shirts and jackets. This technology connects multiple layers of porous textiles and small batteries and integrates them into clothing. It transports liquid water from the inside of the clothing to the external environment through electroosmosis, maintaining a dry and comfortable wearing experience. It is expected to be used in outdoor and protective work clothing and in the future. In Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Hydro-Shape Technology

The European Union issued the "Disposable Plastics Directive" in 2021, which explicitly prohibits disposable plastic products from being put on the market. Germany's Norafin Industries came into being with its Hydro-Shape process. The process uses high-pressure water jets to entangle fibers into 3D shapes without the use of adhesives. This technology allows fibers to form the three-dimensional structure of the final product in one step, greatly reducing the waste of resources and energy; at the same time, biodegradable natural fibers can also be used as raw materials.
