According to data released by the China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce on the 10th, China's textile and garment exports increased by 6.8% in November, driven by China's steady foreign trade policy, recovering overseas market demand and low base factors last year.
Data show that from January to November 2024, China's cumulative textile and garment exports were 273.06 billion US dollars, an increase of 2% over the same period last year (the same below), of which textile exports were 128.84 billion US dollars, an increase of 4.6%, and clothing exports were 144.22 billion US dollars, down 0.2%. In November, China's textile and garment exports of 25.17 billion US dollars, an increase of 6.8%, down 1.2% month-on-month, of which textile exports of 12.16 billion US dollars, an increase of 9.5%, down 1.9% month-on-month, clothing exports of 13.02 billion US dollars, an increase of 4.3%, down 0.6% month-on-month.
Industry analysts said that at present, the development of foreign trade in China's textile industry is facing a new situation. The increasingly complex international trade environment, compounded by geopolitical conflicts and rising trade protectionism, has brought great instability to the global industrial chain and supply chain. On the basis of stabilizing exports to developed economies, Chinese textile enterprises actively explore emerging markets such as ASEAN, further promote diversified international layout, and inject new vitality into the innovative development of foreign trade in the industry with new forms of business such as cross-border e-commerce.
