The "Notice" clarifies that for the Canton Fair held from 2024 to 2025, the preferential tax policy for imported exhibits of the 2023 Canton Fair will continue to be implemented, and the policy content and list remain unchanged. The details are as follows: For the Canton Fair held from 2024 to 2025, the tax preferential policies for imported exhibits of the 2023 Canton Fair shall be determined by the Ministry of Commerce. Imported exhibits within the tax-free quota sold during the exhibition period are exempt from import duties, import value-added tax and consumption tax. The upper limit of the exhibit category, sales quantity or amount that each exhibitor can enjoy cumulative tax preferential treatment during the exhibition period of this year shall be implemented in accordance with regulations. Exhibits that enjoy tax incentives do not include goods prohibited from import by the state, endangered animals and plants and their products, tobacco, alcohol, automobiles, and goods listed in the "Catalogue of Major Technical Equipment and Products Not Exempted from Duty-Free Imports".
At the same time, according to relevant regulations, eligible temporary entry exhibits before the policy is promulgated can temporarily pay no tax after paying a deposit or providing other guarantees as required; after the policy is promulgated, they can enjoy the tax exemption policy in accordance with the regulations and go through the import and guarantee write-off procedures. .
