According to the statistics released by GTF data on November 21, China's cumulative textile and apparel exports from January to October were 248.25 billion US dollars, an increase of 1.7%. Among them, textile and garment exports in October were 25.48 billion US dollars, an increase of 11%.
From January to October, textile exports reached US $116.77 billion, up by 4.2%; Garment exports were $131.78 billion, down 0.5%.
In October, textile exports were 12.39 billion US dollars, up 16.1%; Garment exports were 13.09 billion US dollars, up 8.1%.
Four major markets
From January to October, exports to the United States increased by 7.2%, of which needle-woven clothing increased by 6.6%; Exports to ASEAN increased by 6.4% year-on-year, of which intermediate goods increased by 11.2%; Exports to the EU increased by 3.6%, of which knitwear increased by 1%; Exports to Japan fell 8.8 per cent, led by a 9.7 per cent drop in knitwear.
The Belt and Road
From January to October, exports to 152 countries jointly building the Belt and Road reached 132.09 billion US dollars, up 0.5% year-on-year, accounting for 53.2% of the total exports.
Four categories of commodities
From January to October, yarn exports increased by 0.5%, fabric exports increased by 4.9%; Exports of home textiles increased by 4.1%; Exports of woven garments fell 0.5%. In terms of volume and price, in addition to yarn, the export quantity of the remaining three categories of commodities showed an upward trend, while the export price continued to decline.
