Results of the 135th Canton Fair are out

The 135th Canton Fair closed on the 5th in Guangzhou. Record-breaking attendance of overseas buyers: As of May 4, a total of 246,000 overseas buyers from 215 countries and regions participated in the conference offline, an increase of 24.5% over the previous session, and the number of overseas buyers arriving at the conference hit a new record high and set a new record.

408,000 people

Online participation is still hot: 408,000 overseas buyers from 229 countries and regions participated in the event online. Exhibitors' stores have been visited 3.412 million times.
“Belt and Road Countries: The number of buyers from the countries that have jointly built the Belt and Road reached 160,000, an increase of 25.1%.
RCEP member countries: The number of buyers from RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement) member countries reached 61,000, an increase of 25.5%.
BRICS countries: The number of buyers from BRICS countries totaled 52,000, an increase of 27.6%.
European and American buyers: the number of buyers from Europe and America attending the event was 50,000, an increase of 10.7%.
Walmart of the United States, Auchan of France, Tesco of the United Kingdom, Metro of Germany, Ikea of Sweden, Koppel of Mexico, Nitori of Japan and other 226 multinational headline enterprises all participated in the conference offline.
119 industrial and commercial organizations, including the China-US Chamber of Commerce, the 48 Group Club of the United Kingdom, the Canada-China Business Council, the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce of Turkey, and the Building and Construction Association of Victoria of Australia.

24.7 billion U.S. dollars

The export turnover realized steady growth: as of May 4, the offline export turnover of this Canton Fair was 24.7 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 10.7% over the previous session; the export turnover on the online platform was 3.03 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 33.1% over the previous session.
Emerging market merchants turnover positive, with the construction of “Belt and Road” countries turnover of 13.86 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 13% over the previous session.
The traditional markets in Europe and the United States have high per capita unit prices. Online platform transactions are becoming more active, export transactions of 3.03 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 33.1% over the previous session.

334 Events

New products display and activities are colorful: exhibitors displayed more than 1 million new products on site and held 334 new product debut exhibitions; enterprises uploaded more than 2.54 million exhibits on the online platform, of which 660,000 were new products, 100,000 were intelligent products, 400,000 were green and low-carbon products, and 210,000 were independent intellectual property rights (IPR) products.

The “Bridge of Trade” activities boosted global promotion: 264 “Bridge of Trade” Canton Fair global promotion and supply and sourcing docking series activities were held, of which 249 supply and sourcing docking series activities attracted 420 buyers and 1,420 suppliers to engage in “one-on-one” docking negotiations. Cross-border E-commerce and Overseas Warehouse Exhibition Area debut: the first time to set up cross-border e-commerce and overseas warehouse exhibition area, 11 provinces to organize five cross-border e-commerce pilot zones, 150 cross-border e-commerce and overseas warehouse enterprises to participate in the exhibition, through the development of new trade patterns for small and medium-sized enterprises to “go to sea” to create new opportunities.
