NEW YORK — Kravet Inc., a resource and industry leader for home furnishings, has acquired textile, pillow and wallpaper company, Caroline Cecil Textiles. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in California in 2015, the Caroline Cecil brand has since grown to include fabrics, a robust ready-made pillow program and American-made wallpapers, all originating from Caroline Cecil’s paintings.
“After shepherding my namesake brand for nine years, I am exhilarated by what’s to come,” said Cecil, CEO and creative director for Caroline Cecil Textiles. “The Kravet family has built many iconic home brands, and together we share the same core values, namely the art of storytelling and prioritization of the trade customer.”
Kravet will be distributing existing SKUs from Caroline Cecil’s collection available now on carolinececiltextiles.com. Later in 2024, Caroline Cecil Textiles will be available in Kravet showrooms and on kravet.com with the launch of new product selections.
Caroline Cecil studied graphic design and business at Parsons The New School For Design and received her BFA in Textile Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
A fifth-generation family business, Kravet Inc. offers fabrics, furniture, wallcoverings, trimmings, carpets and accessories. Kravet Inc. owns Kravet, Lee Jofa, Brunschwig & Fils, GP & J Baker and Donghia.
